  • The thing I didn't like about the Britax B Ready was the fact that you look like you are going to kick the lower seat when you are pushing the stroller

  • Same.

They both offer the same features of the single/double/car seat carrier, it's a personal preference between the two.  I personally didn't like the B-Ready, and I love my City Select.  I especially love how if the boys are fighting with each other that day, I can turn them back to back.  I can also have a dual recline on the CS, and I can also have a full recline for the seat when the car seat is on board.  But dealing with a 3 year old, I'm not sure how much that would matter for you.  I also really like that when I can trust him enough, he'll be able to climb in and out of the front seat on his own.  Plus, it's stadium style seating when they are forward facing, so they'll both be able to look out.  Cole did NOT like being behind the seat and was constantly trying to grab the wheels - but I also know some children who think the jump seat is fun.

It really depends on what you are looking for and your kid's temperament.  It was just NOT a good fit for us.

  • We went with the B Ready because our DD (who will be 3 yrs 1 mon when babe arrives) is tall.   She was too tall for the City Select seats.  She fits nicely in the main seat of the B Ready, with a little room to grow.   I figure by the time she's done being a "rider", she'll be too big anyway and then we'll just use it as a single.  BTW - it has an awesome basket that you can reach from sides and front with zippers!

You don't though. I thought the same thing. I love my B-ready.

  • I just went through the same dilemma. I previously had a BOB Revolution Duallie, but wanted to trade it in for something with a smaller footprint that could be converted back into a single since DS and DD are getting to the age where they want to walk and DS #2 will be in a stroller for a few years.

We narrowed it down to these two and when it came down to it we decided to go with the City Select. The footprint of the BJCS was smaller than the B-Ready and I was a huge fan of the stadium seating. I had previously attempted a Phil and Ted's and had to return it because my toddler absolutely HATED sitting in the jump seat and not being able to see. I hear this complaint from everyone who has had one so it's something to think about. DD was also trying to stick her fingers in the wheels since she was so close to them and the BJCS solved both problems.

We love it so far and would make the same decision again. We did, however, get a BJCS 2010 when all the 2011 models came out so our BJCS was essentially the same price as the Britax deal they have going on until the end of April so pricing wasn't a big deal to us. If you don't care so much about the cons of the B-Ready and you can't find a BJCS 2010 then price may be a big factor for you in your decision. Good luck!
