... but what are some of the most annoying/worst things you can do on a chat board? 

I'm new to all of this so I'm a little green on what is and is not acceptable.

What is the rudest thing you've seen on these chat boards?

I'm hoping to learn from other's mistakes!

    Ambsies pretty much covered it

    Some of the worst things you can do are to post something inflammatory just for kicks, start a debate on a hot religious/political/personal topic, start arguments with people who don't agree with your POV, delete a post just because you don't like the responses you got, or just generally being a douche.

    Dip your toe in the water and have a thick skin. You should be fine.

    Please don't post on 1 board about another.  PP were right on!  To be able to understand the feel of the board lurk, lurk and lurk some more!
