So tomorrow we break up with our daycare, and I am super nervous about it. We've been going here since my first son was 4.5 months, so more than 3 years. We haven't been super thrilled with it lately and a brand new school is opening down the street. The school is beautiful, we really are excited about the curriculum and the pricing is slightly cheaper.
Our center asks for two weeks written notice if you are withdrawing your child. The really awkward part is my older son is best buds with the center director's son. They've grown up together, we went to his birthday, etc. While it will be sad to break them up, I know this is the best thing for our boys. I know the center director will take it personally. My saving grace is my husband has volunteered to be the one to break the news to them. I'm really not crazy about giving 2 weeks notice because I'm worried they will treat the boys differently in the mean time.
Anybody else have a similar experience? I feel like I am breaking up with a boyfriend!
