I NEED to vent.

 There is this older lady at work who has two daughters, she is always talking about how much she hates her children. And I never say anything to her when she b****s about them or how much she hates them or when she dies they arent getting anything. I am a firm believer in you raise your children so you raise your children in a way that made you hate them. This other girl found out today that her daughter is having a girl just like me and she was so excited. And her and I were talking about the chinese gender calender and looking at the u/s her daughter sent her. And the older lady was like that?s enough you don?t need to talk about it anymore. Like its our faults we are having children and that they are girls.

So I proceed to ask her what is wrong, and she says I am whats wrong.. EXCUSE ME!! She said everytime I open my mouth I start something. Seriously I was having a conversation with someone else about her grandaughter. Then she says I always open my mouth because I act like I know it all. I have hardly said to words to this lady before and the only thing I said to her ever was "I cant ever imagine hating my child" (because i cant ever imagine it no matter how mad my parents are at me they would NEVER tell me they hate me). I said to her that I don?t ever act like I know everything I will be the first to admit I know nothing about what is to come. I am scared out of my mine. Then of course she turns around in her desk and mutters to herself.

I am seriously Pissed what did I do to this lady.. is it because Im pregnant with a girl and she hates hers. Like that?s my fault

Seriously, if a coworker started talking to me like that I'd break her nose. Then again, I am slightly hormonal and watermelon deprived. I would however go to HR or a supervisor and mention what she said. Workplace hostility like that is unacceptable and she should be reprimanded.

Just ignore the crotchity old lady.  She is obviously bitter about her life and it has nothing to do with you.  Don't give her the satisfaction in a response to that horrible behavior.

Seriously, if a coworker started talking to me like that I'd break her nose. Then again, I am slightly hormonal and watermelon deprived. I would however go to HR or a supervisor and mention what she said. Workplace hostility like that is unacceptable and she should be reprimanded. 

 LOL, sometimes reading everyones posts is the only thing that gets me through the long weeks.

what a terrible lady to work with.  I would like to say i would go bitchcakes on her ass, but in truth i would probably run into my office and cry in my emotional state today.  What i would certainly do is report her.

I am so close to this.. I have been ignoring her comments and today just ugh!! I am one of those girls that hates drama i hate starting stuff so i will probably keep my mouth shut since i have 5 weeks left, but still she is a bitter old lady kinda looks like this ALL day! glasses and all!

You can also loosen the screws on her chair so when she leans back the back falls off

o i forgot to paint the picture better she wore green pants with the matching green shirt (with the clovers) with the earrings and necklaces for saint pattys day, christmas was decked out for 2 weeks straight with trees all over the clothes, etc i think you get the point and i cant forget the shoulder pads she has in her shirt on any other given day!

Hahaha me too.  I totally agree that you should go to HR.  No one has the right to talk to another coworker like that and she should be reprimanded.

I'm like you, and this wen*h would have a broken nose or something... but I do agree about the HR, thing... and I also agree w/ PP's, that it sounds like she's just taking her bitterness about her own life out on you for no good reason other than she thinks she can. So prove her wrong, because she' has NO RIGHT to do that to you .Cheer up, mama!
