I'm trying to find swim suites for Dayne and not having much luck. It seems they really don't make stuff until they're 6 months old? I'd like to have a few pairs of trunks and rash guards for him this summer, we'll be on the lake most weekends. Where did you find your stuff? I've checked Old Navy, Baby Gap and Children's Place without much luck.
Re: Swimwear
Try Carters. I think I saw some smaller girls sizes for bathing suits, so they must have boys too.
What size does he need? I got Gabe's at Target and I know they had smaller sizes because that's all that was left. I had to hunt to find an 18mo size.
ETA: I just looked at Baby Gap's site and they have suits going down to 0-3mo. Did you just not like them? Gymboree also has them in smaller sizes.

I found one I liked on Old Navy's site that I think I'll get - I wasn't thrilled with the long sleeved rash guards that Baby Gap had. I'd prefer short sleeves. I'd need a 3-6 month size.
I'll check out Carter's and Gymboree too!
Gabe's is short sleeved from Target and Gymboree has short sleeved ones too. I did buy him another one from Gymboree with long sleeves because then I don't have to put sunscreen on his arms. Just a thought

I will only buy the long sleeved ones for Landon this year because I feel they protect him from the sun better.
DH worries about him getting too cold in the longer sleeves because it's more material once he's wet. Seems counter intuitive, but the longer sleeves do keep him cooler. The material is super breathable and won't make them that hot even if they're not wet.
We got ours last year at babygap and gymboree.
ETA: Since Dayne won't be 6 months by the summer, he won't be able to wear sun screen yet. I think it would be worth it to get the longer sleeves. Better safe than sorry!
Thanks ladies - I didn't even think that the long sleeves would keep him cooler since they'll be wet.
I know - no sun screen until 6 months - I plan on keeping him in the shade but I do want him to be able to splash around in the lake with us too.
Enjoy. We loved having Landon in the water last summer. It was so relaxing for him!

Target has small sizes, or try a m2m sale.
You can also get a floaty thing with a canopy. I got DS all short sleeved stuff but we have a pool and a bunch of covered things for him to hang out in.
