Freaking out!!! Overdose of mylicon?

Hi ladies I accidentally gave my dd too much. I thought the measuring thing I used was .3 ml and it was 3 ml instead. I had only filled it to the 2 mark and she spit out over half. I've called the number on the meds and they r closed. What should I do? I'm freaking out. I can't believe I did such a stupid thing. I called poison control and they said no issue but I feel like the worse mom of the year.

If poison control said you're fine, I'm sure you are. I honestly didn't know anyone could OD on mylicon.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that Mylicon does not enter the bloodstream, so it's hard to use too much. I wouldn't worry about it, but you can always call the Ped nurse line if you're still worried.

also, you probably know this now, but worth repeating- ALWAYS call poison control first. don't waste time trying to call the company/manufacturer. the folks at poison control aren't going to judge you, but if your kid *has* ingested sometime damaging- the faster you know how to take care of it, the better!

Thanks ladies I ended up calling the nurse hotline as well and they told me she was fine. It really scared the crap out of me. She slept for a few hours and is up feeding again now. Thanks for the tip to call poison control first, they are now on my favorites list on my phone. Now off to see if I can get some sleep.
