Zoo membership discount update

Here's the email I got today, so if you were having problems I would call/email the membership office!

Thank you for your e-mail.

 

We have extended the discount through 4/7 so you still have time to take advantage of the promotion.

 

Your entire Membership ID is *****. That number along with your last name will work on the website. You will see the discounted price on the membership once it is added to your cart (the pricing on the main page is the regular prices).

 

I really appreciate your patience and if you have any other issues or questions, please let me know.

    I was 99.9% confident they would honor the discount, today; however, the .1% doubt won out, and I decided to go ahead and buy a "new" membership, just to be safe. I couldn't think of any real advantage of renewing the existing vs. buying new...or am I missing something? I'm probably missing something.

    That depends on when your current membership expires. Mine doesn't expire until end of September so I would have only gained 6 months instead of 12 if I bought new instead of renewing.

  • I called yesterday and actually got someone on the phone.  She acted like I was an idiot for not putting in a 14 digit number.  Ummmmm...the card only shows 7.  Where would I have gotten the other numbers??  After that it worked.  I'm glad they extended the deal for others.

    Ahhh, yes. Our existing membership expired yesterday, anyway, so the issue is moot. That makes me happy.

  • Yea, ours doesn't expire until July so I wasn't keen on buying new membership. If they didn't honor the discount, I just would have let them know I wouldn't be joining the zoo again! :-)

  • I'm glad to hear they extended the price.  I was mad when I called and got voicemail, only to be told that the voice mailbox was full and I couldn't leave a message. Someone definitely dropped the ball on the renewal discount process. 

    I just purchased a new one last night because ours expired yesterday anyway.

  • sure wish I would have checked here first, i sent an email too. I was mad it wasn't recognizing my membership ID.

  • I tried for 3 days straight thinking the site would be working again each day I tried! I said screw it and just bought a new membership! Ours expired yesterday as well. I like the new cards this year, something that won't tear if a certain toddler gets his hands on it! Oh and the parking pass is adorable! :)
