Diaper help needed!!!

I'm in desperate need of diaper help for my DD! She is average in weight @ 25lbs and tall (90%-ile) with a little butt and hips.  We've been using Huggies Little Movers for a while now and use the Overnights at night time.  Recently both types of diapers started leaking AND she got a nasty rash Crying I've been buying size 4s but wondering if I need to go up a size or what other brand of diaper I should try (I won't go the Pampers with Dry Max route as we've had issues with them when she was much younger).

I tried the Huggies Pure and Natural and really want them to work because they are so soft and she has such sensitive skin but again it seems to be a leaking issue around the snaps of her onesie and thighs.  Does this mean I need to go up (or down) a size?  I'm so frustrated and thought I'd ask here before I go out and spend all kinds of money on different diapers!

Re: Diaper help needed!!!

  • DS is 25 lbs 9 oz (we were just at hte dr today) and I have huggies size 5 for him during the day (the one in the white and read box) snug and dry i think and huggies overnights in size 5 for overnights with VERY FEW leaks at night and none during the day....

  • My DD is 26lb and 33in and we have been in size 5 hugggies for a while because the size 4 didn't fit right,

  • Try Luvs for sure. DS is tall and thin, and has a tiny little butt and hips. Huggies little movers are nice diapers, but they seem to work better for bigger LO's. Luvs have always by far had the best fit for DS. Baby Dry are okay too, but I like them less, they are more expensive, and they don't fit quite as well.

  • Target brand, up & up- by far my favorite diaper AND you can't beat the price.  I can count on one hand the number of times Kayla's leaked and she is almost 2.

  • I would try the Pampers Baby Dry, (no dry max!), or maybe Luvs. They fit similiarly as both are made by Proctor & Gamble.

  • Love Target's diapers.  My son can pee a gallon overnight with no leak.

  • Put her is size 5! DS has been in 5 forever. We are actually just now switching to 6 and that is bc he is now 30lbs. and he started leaking in his diaper. Problem solved now, diapers were just getting too small. Try Luvs, I love them we have never had a problem and they are a lot cheaper :)

  • Thanks everyone for the responses.  I've decided to give the Huggies another go in a size 5 (which I will pick up tomorrow) and if that doesn't seem to do the trick will be looking at Luvs and other brands.  Crossing my fingers haha wish us luck!
