how commom are false negatives with a pregnancy test..

I think I mean false negatives that is

I have taken 2 pregnancy test two weeks apart and both were negative so I assumed I'm not pregnant. Here is why im questioning and freaking out somewhat.

No period since late jan....I do skip a month somtimes but now this makes 2. I am still nursing my son but my period came back in june.

Horrible cramps....which is how I found out I was pregnant with my son. That was my first clue something was up. Cramps but no period. They come and go for weeks now.

Im queasy all the time, cry all the time, and smell everything. I really dont think Im pregnant but this is getting ridiculous plus im sick of wasting money on tests.

go to the doctors. Some people just dont get positives as soon as most.

I would say a false negative is pretty rare but not impossible. I think the general rule of thumb is if you 60 days or more without a period that you should go to the dr. I would keep testing and maybe try a different brand--were the tests that you took out of the same box? If nothing else maybe the dr can start you on Provera or something to jump start your period.

I got two negative tests before I tested positive with DD, just a few days after I took the last one. I thought for sure I was not pregnant - no symptoms at ALL. And, whoa. I was.

I'd go to the doctor, do a blood test.

I'd go to the doctor. I had about 4 negative tests with this BFP actually..they were the early result tests and some were 5 days before my period was due and some were just 2 days before and still negative. I didn't actually get the BFP until the day before AF and even then it was very faint, but it was also a different test. That is a long time to not have a period, so I would go to the doctor if I were you, just for piece of mind if anything since you are still nursing so maybe your cycle is just out of whack.
