My 14-month old son has turned into a super-picky eater lately. The doctor says it's probably because he's on antibiotics and it's making his stomach sensitive. The problem is that he's been on antibiotics for most of the past three months because he's had so many ear infections. He used to be such a good eater, and lately the only thing he'll eat is baby food. It almost seems like he's regressing in his development because he's been sick so much lately. All the doctors we've seen say it's normal because he started going to daycare in January, but it certainly doesn't feel normal! Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing. Thanks!
Re: Antibiotics causing picky eating?
DD is definitely a much picky eater when she's on antibiotics. She also likes to be in control now because of age/development and if I just give her something she probably won't eat it... but if I give her a choice like saying peas or carrots? She'll pick one and eat it. GL! Hope things get easier for you.
Oh, and DD is in daycare too... she had a ton of ear infections and viruses for months... the ear infections were pretty constant for 4 months, but now she hasn't had any for 3. I think their little bodies just need to adjust to all the crappy germs, but they'll build up their immune systems.
