How old is your DS? Hearing that his colic is better is giving me hope! LO has been having some longer periods of alertness without screaming and has even been pooping without screaming recently so I am hoping the fussiness is decreasing.
:Butting in: ( but hoping you don't mind - as I may have some encouraging words)
Ben had colic and screamed like crazy until we got the right acid reflux med (prevacid is what worked for us) - but now when I take him out everyone comments that he is such a happy, easygoing baby - so there is a light at the end of the tunnel!!
Hang in there - colic is such a stressful experience - and ask for help from anyone who is willing!

DS is about 17 weeks. I'd say the improvement took place around 14 weeks. Reflux meds did nothing, so it probably never was reflux. We saw a GI specialist and a pediatric cardiologist (ruling out heart problems, as they run in both our families and apparently heart problems can cause a baby to cry all the time).
We've decided (though are not totally sure) that it had more to do with a dairy sensitivity - we tired a million different formulas plus me cutting dairy so my BM would be dairy free.... long story short, he's been on soy formula since the beginning of January. Though the soy didn't make a huge difference right away, it seems to treat him OK for now. I will say we are totally paranoid to try any milk-based anything any time soon.
Did soy formula "cure" him? I have no idea. Did it all just sort itself out? I guess. I don't know that we'll ever really know what was "wrong" with him. He is 100% a totally different child than those first 3 1/2 months. I mean totally, wonderfully different.
I'm just mad now because while I was home on leave with him he was a screaming mess, and now that I'm back to work he's a baby I want to spend 24/7 with!
Hang in there!!! When it gets better, it's such a difference. Just last night DH and I were like "huh, maybe we can finally start inviting people over again." It's so simple, but we hadn't been socializing much or inviting folks (except family) to our house because DS was such a handful. Now it's like - wow - maybe we can get our lives back!
Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.
