What a lot to be going through. Believe me I know what it can do to you when there might be something wrong with your child/children.
I also wanted to say that in NY, early intervention does cover audio evals. Either as part of the eval process or after services have been started. I would look into it. Every state runs their program different, but it is worth inquiring about. Good luck!

I was thinking this too...regardless of his hearing issues (which may or may not exist) you might want to look into early intervention resources for his speech delay. He may qualify for some free speech therapy.
If I read the f/u correctly, I'm going to judge your ENT. I think it's malpractice to place tubes w/o doing a hearing test. Twice no less! You should be taking it up with your ENT and making him/her do a hearing test for free. That was SOP before DS got his tubes. his hearing loss was significant (at 10 mos old) and it most definitely affected his speech. Follow your hunch and don't back down until you get the answers you deserve.
