Diapers that change colors when wet

When DD was born the hospital used diapers (we thought Pampers) that had a line down the middle.  The line would change colors when the diaper was wet.  I've never been able to find these and was wondering if anyone here knows what I'm talking about?  TIA!

Re: Diapers that change colors when wet

  • They were pampers....and I never found them outside the hospital either.

  • Ok after a more intense google search I discovered they are the "Pampers Swaddlers".  I guess we always used Pampers but apparently not the right ones.  Thanks!
  • they are swaddlers... I ordered some on Amazon.

You found them recently?  I thought they were discontinued shortly after DS was born because that's when they came out with the dry max.

I got them about 2 weeks ago. I have another order that I got this week too.

  • I found them in Size 1 at Babiesrus.com but couldn't in other sizes  - at least in their description it says:

Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers Size 1 - 180 Count are made to help protect your new baby's skin. The diapers are gentle, hypoallergenic and breathable to allow air to reach your baby's skin. A strip on the front of the diaper lets you know when it's time to change your little one by turning blue when wet. The Absorb-Away Liner keeps wetness away from your baby's delicate skin for a comfortable feel.

  • They def still make them or started making them again... just got them for my baby shower a couple weeks ago... they got them at BRU  :o)

  • I loved the Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive diapers in Newborn, Size 1 and Size 2 with the wetness indicators.  We bought these diapers at Target.

I've seen them several times in the past few weeks, so they're still out there!

  • They are Pampers Newborn Swaddlers.  It says "line changes color to indicate wet diaper" on the outside of the package.  You can definitely get them in the grocery store.  We loved them, too!
  • I just bought some at Target- I think you have to make sure they're the "Sensitive" style- I don't think the regular Swaddlers have the line. The box is labeled "wetness indicator" so you'll know you're getting the right kind. Oh, and they don't have Dry Max (I will never buy the Dry Max diapers!).
