Hello everyone!
So I am still breastfeeding and I have currently been really upping my exercise routine. I do 30 minutes of hard cardio, combined with weight training, etc.
I also have been having trouble finding a good balance of nutrition with all of the extra calories being burned. I am a relatively picky eater, and from the moment I was pregnant up until about 2 months ago I ate junk, junk, JUNK!
I am wondering if there are any suggestions for good breastfeeding calorie-loaded nutritious foods to replace all the cereal, wheat tortillas, etc.
I am considering increasing my whole grain intake, and making a trip to GNC to see what kind of shake/supplement I can take.
Re: Exercise, dieting and Breastfeeding Concerns
For whole grains: I eat oatmeal for breakfast, and we've switch all our pasta to whole wheat.
For increased calories/nutrition: A post-workout shake is probably a good plan for you. Pick up a big bag of frozen fruit, some protein powder, and blend it up with milk.
