janie and jack sizing

How is the sizing of Janie and Jack? Does it run big/small?

I want to buy a pair of overalls for DS to wear to a wedding when he's 11.5 months, and I'm not sure if I should get the 6-12 or the 12-18 size. He's 21 pounds right now so he's at the upper end of the 6-12 size and not quite in the 12-18.

    My experience is that it runs a little big. If you can get both maybe do that and try. Last I knew their return policy was that if you had the receipt you got what you paid with no time limit.

    Anything I have ever bought from there has been on the bigger side. What I would do is just buy both sizes and then return the one that did not fit. Just a thought.

    Thanks girls! I don't know why I didn't think to do that. I'm ordering online but I can always make a trip to the store to return the other one.

    The overalls run on the larger side, especially in length.  I'd say that almost everything at Janie & Jack, except for onesies, run large.

    I've had the opposite problem!  We just purchased two things from Janie and Jack. It was a blue and white striped dress (no bloomers attached-?) and a SPF protective swim suit.

    My DD is 16.5 pounds and the dress is 17-22 pounds- fits her like a glove; a little short almost fits like shirt.  The swimsuit- same thing. It's 17-22 pounds and JUST fits her.  I don't get it!

    We also bought a super cute sun hat and that's fits real well.
