Direct TV ?

so we have comcast and I HATE it. (all caps is not strong enough for how much I HATE comcast!) I was looking at getting direct tv. i think we can get way more for about the same price. does anyone have this? do you like it?

my problems with comcast are: tv going out/freezing constantly and they cost to much!

I posted this same question on the nest a few weeks ago.  It was kind of hit or miss, some people loved them, some didn't.  We have Dish Network right now and have been happy, but they keep raising our rates so we are most likely going to make the switch to Direct TV.  If I can dig up the link to the post I made I'll come back and post it for you.

We've had DirecTV for 3yrs with no complaints. My parents and brother/SIL have it too. We use comcast for cable and have had mostly "let me speak to your supervisor" calls because their customer service is so bad. DirectTV is probably my lest dreaded utility company to call because our customer service experiences have always been pleasant, and they seem much more willing to work with you. In fact, we were installed in the winter at dusk, so when spring came, the tree branches and leaves blocked some of the signal. When we called to have someone come out, the rep suggested we pay for the protection plan ($6/mo) and it would cover all visits. We ended up having them come out twice for this and once for something unrelated, so $6 for a few months was better than the $60-75 per visit I think they charged at the time. She saved us a bunch of money! Other than our first signal issues and install taking forever, we've had no other issues. Just make sure you ask what the rate will be after your trial period because it goes up significantly. If you want to make the switch to Directv, PM me.
