Multi-Child baby monitors

HELP ME! I am going crazy only having a monitor in the baby's room and not the 20mos old. I bought another of the exact monitor as I already had for my daycare and it interferes with some crazy static when they are both on and then I can't sleep.

If you have two children in different rooms and have a monitor in both that doesn't have interference PLEASE recommend. :-) It makes me a nervous nelly! The only multi-child monitor I can find that comes in one pack is sold out EVERYWHERE! I'm fine with having to buy two whole new monitors but I just don't want to waste money. I have googled this until I'm blind so I don't know what I'm missing since I'm sure I'm not the first person that has had this issue.

  • We have the Sony Baby Call Monitor- it's digital, costs about $45, and has 27 different channels so you should be able to find one that it doesn't interfere with.
  • When our friends come over with their son who is also 1 we put the kids in rooms right next to each other with monitors in each room. We havent had any problems using this fisher price Sound & Lights baby monitor (we bought it used at a consignment sale--works great!) with this Sony Baby Call Monitor. Both have pretty good range. We put them in the bedrooms and then go sit out on our back patio which is at least 45 feet away. HTH!

We have 2 of these, and I have had no issues.  I initially had the sony monitor for Jacob and a less expensive FP monitor for Audrey , but I was having issues with the FP monitor, so I sold it and bought another sony.

  • We have the Summer Video monitor.  I really like being able to see what C is doing.  When she wakes up, she reads, so I wouldn't be able to tell if she was awake with just a sound monitor.

I believe that you can buy 2 cameras to work with the monitor, but it only has 2 channels.  We plan to buy a 2nd camera for this baby.  We do get static if it is placed in certain areas of our home.  So that is kind-of annoying, but usually if it is just moved a little it stops and doesn't start back up again.  HTH!

  • Thanks! I initially did want a video monitor but will just about settle for anything that works now. lol
