Regardless of where you are in your treatments, IF Veterans is a forum for those with an active (6 month+) history on the IF board and an established connection to the IF community (IF, PAIF, and SAIF). Support, compassion, and humor encouraged.
Visit Infertility for general information. Even though some topics seem applicable to everyone, only veterans are asked to start threads here.

? for you ladies...is "journey" better than "treatments". I don't like that word but it seems more apt.
And we do get Infertility Veterans. !
Amy I liked your statement too and will incorporate that into the blog.
Re: I'm submitting this, any last edits, please let me know.
i think journey is better
thanks so much E

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.
MTHFR A1298C & C677T, Immune Issues and Factor II
Ditto this. Oh I
your baby ducks...
5 REs + 3 surgical hysteroscopies for septum/lap + 3 failed IUIs
IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl),
FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w,
twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest
Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first
Thankful for every day
Could you flip flop this so that it reads:Even though some topics seem applicable to everyone, only veterans are asked to start threads here. (Visit Infertility for general information.)?
Some people might get confused as to which board we're referring to when we say "Even though some topics seem applicable to everyone, only veterans are asked to start threads here."

I agree that journey is better then treatments.
I understand IF Vets.
I am also a fan of flipping the 2 opening paragraphs.

This "mission statement" is one of the most absurd things I have ever read on the Bump.
As so many are fond of pointing out, this is a public message board, anyone can start a thread here if they like. You cannot dictate who can post where, as much as you would want.
The Bump exists to make money from advertisers, not sponser cliques of women who would do better seeking an hour of real therapy a week then spend countless hours on here.
This should be your mascot:
I'm all for it, that unicorn has a nice @$$. Do we need to re-hash this again? Go post on the threads from yesterday.

After 2+ years and multiple treatment cycles,
including an IVF vacation in Costa Rica/Panama,
IVF #2 brought us our miracle baby!
Surprise! Baby Boy is on the way!
Interesting... I thought every board was entitled to a description of its intended purpose, usually composed by the founders of each board. You're right, anyone has the right to post, and we have the right to ignore them if they are not germane to the purpose of this particular board. I always figured TB made money from advertising here, but then again I don't see any outside advertisers (except those annoying pop-ups) just them selling their own wares.
And thanks for your concern, but many of us are in therapy too. I'm thinking you might benefit from some as well, as you seem to have some not so closeted hostility towards complete strangers who have done absolutely nothing to you, but are trying to effectively work their way through real life crises. Best of luck to you.

To BitterWretchedWomen -
I 100% agree with what kthappy had to say. You seem to enjoy wondering onto different boards and saying mean/nasty things to them, that do not concern you. I hope you are able to find a therapist to help you with your negativity. GL!

Ummmm....isn't that exactly what you are trying to do? Starting your own private message board where only "vets" can start threads.
Ok then.
It's honesty, not hostility.
And believe me, I understand all too well about real life crises. I don't need a sub-board to discuss them.
You are stupid. What the hell do you care?

FWIW, I'd have really loved an IF vets board when I was a few years in. I think it's great you've managed to wrangle this. Do you think you'll be OK with SAIFers responding to posts, or should we continue to look at siggies to see?
I am a runner, knitter, scientist, DE-IVF veteran, and stage III colon cancer survivor.
No warnings needed as far as I understand.
Check out Edwina's description ...it covers everyone from IF to PAIF to SAIF.
This is my question, too! I always wished all the IF boards were one, instead of getting more and more fractured. But I can understand how tough it can be to hear others from the other side while you're still in the trenches. So when is it OK for SAIFers to post here? I unfortunately have the feeling that most of SAIF won't want to offend or hurt anyone on the board, and so will stay away.
PAIF/SAIF are welcome here!
ETA: The description sounds great ladies!
But apparently you do need these boards to fulfill some burning need to be a troll... You do realize that your privacy settings (or lack thereof) allow all of us to see all of your 49 posts, on nearly as many different boards, don't you? This board doesn't need trolls, go bother the ladies on baby names or something.

Imagine having a product to sell and you'd like to target women who are mid-30s, married and live in Chicago area and whose first name starts with K...etc.
Marketers pay huge bucks for access to lists like that. HTH!
