1st u/s yesterday, exactly on schedule and saw HB! ; )

The long-awaited day, 1st prenatal appointment!  It went just as well if not better than I expected, I am so relieved and excited. DH and I had a perma-grin the whole appointment after I had the u/s and saw the HB, we both got all teary eyed.  Sono tech said I had a tilted uterus so I had to have a transvaginal u/s but that was no big deal.  Then it was on to meet with the Healthy Start pregnancy coordinator (new program they're organizing at my doctor's office I guess), she was wonderful.  Then to the midwife for a long sit down and review, Q&A session.  Then bloodwork, urine, etc.  My due date is the same as what I predicted, which was cool.  Overall I was there for nearly 2 hours, longer than I expected!  They sent us home with so much info and literature, it was great and not as overhelming as it should've been for some reason. But I feel on track and very excited, I thought I would share since so many of us have reservations and worries and concerns about the 1st appt.,  H&H 9 months to all of you!

At my OB they do everything seperate.  We went for our H&P and got all of our information 2 weeks ago.  Went for my first appt. where they make sure everything feels right and then our first U/S this Monday.  It is kind of nice doing it that way.  I have not been there more then 1 hour at a time. 

 Congrats!  I can not wait til Monday!

Yay! That's great news! I had an awesome first apt this week as well, and I was also spot on with my due date. There is definitely something cool about that
