For those with multiple tickers....

Why do you have multiple tickers for the same pregnancy? Is it because TB has so many options now? I'm not trying to be snarky, I just don't understand.

I have multiples b/c this is my first pregnancy and I am excited!!  Each ticker shows something different.  I like the fruit one b/c it shows the size of the baby, I like the birth date one b/c it gives facts about what is going on with the baby and lastly I like the big one with the girl b/c I thought it was cute.

I have multiple because it shows different things. One shows what it looks like in the womb the other compares its size to fruit.

I thought it was a little crazy too, but to each their own. Some people have 3 or 4 tickers but they all represent something different and some people have 3 or 4 for all the same thing not really much of difference. Clutter is clutter. 

I have the one that gives info about the stage the baby is at and one for my son. If I want to see what fruit size the baby is I just look at another persons ticker that is in the same week I am.

As the time goes on and we start to put pictures in our siggy's each one will get even longer. Maybe they will take a couple tickers out when that happens... If not it will take forever to get through a thread by the time we get to 3rd tri. lol

This is my opinion as well. Some people have huge siggy pics, some have a ton of tickers for a million different things, etc . For some reason only the multiple pregnancy tickers get people worked up.

This same topic is posted every few weeks but the answers are always the same. This is more annoying than anyone's siggy or ticker, IMO.

Well this is the only board where I have seen multiples tickers for the same thing. I get having multiple tickers for different events, I just didn't understand having a different ticker for the same event. And it's 1st tri the same things are going to get posted multiple times. It goes back to the good ole bump saying "Don't open the post if it bothers you."

I'm not bothered by the thread & it's really not a big deal.  No worries.

ETA: I just found it slightly amusing that someone who was commenting on not understanding repetitiveness was being repetitive

got it! And I also realized that here I am questioning the multiple tickers and I don't even have one! I was waiting because I wasn't ready for my local nest girls to see, but WTH, I'm adding it!

It can get out of hand, however.  I can't remember what board it was, but a woman there had a signature that was so long, I think I scrolled down half a page to get past it.  Overkill!

I use Firefox as my browser, and the AdBlocker add-on to block most of the multiple siggies (and huge Nest ads, and giant sig pics).

There's a girl on my month board who has 5!! 5 tickers for the same pregnancy! that's out of control. Her siggy is SO LONG!
