Paging GHM re: carseat question

Hi there

 

     So, DS is tiny--40 inches and about 37lbs.  he is 5 1/2 years old.  he is supposed to go home with a friend after school and they only have a car seat that is the booster that is harnessed by the car's seat belt.  that's a big no-no right??  Thanks so much!

I'd be fine with it at 5.5, as long as it's a high back and fits him properly (it's rated for under 40 lbs and the belt fits him fine). The problem is that you won't be there to see how he fits or to know if the seat is even meant for a child his size.
