Super gross question

So my discharge has been smelling kind of...funky the last couple days.  I've had yeast infections and bv before, but this is different.  It has almost an ammonia smell to it--almost smells like nail polish remover or hair dye.  It's really weird.  Anyone else want to 'fess up to smelling funky?  Or is this something I should be worried about?

What color is the discharge, is it itchy- any other symptoms?

Maybe its your pee you're smelling? Sometimes a urinary tract infection will make your pee smell like ammonia or chemicals. Maybe a few drops of pee got mixed in your discharge? Wow, this is the grossest post I have ever posted on the bump. Hope it helps!

Sorry your pits are stinky.  I've had that too pretty much since I find out.  If I don't put on deodorant the second I get out of the shower, there's no point in putting it on later, because it's too late.

I thought of that, but I figured I would feel myself leaking pee.  Sheesh, I would hope I could feel that.

Just want to add that things can get a little funky down there when you're pg, especially towards the end. All the hormones, discharge and extra body heat make it prime smelly vag territory...and we'll all be walking around with watermelon bellies in the heat of the summer, so I'm certain none of our nether regions will smell like roses in a few months.

I thought of that, but I figured I would feel myself leaking pee.  Sheesh, I would hope I could feel that.  

A few drops may squeeze out without you noticing, just be grateful you have control of your bladder, I lost mine when I had DS and I still can't sneeze or laugh hard without dripping. I'm so sexy.

ahhh! but i agree with some of the OP, its probably a lil pee coming out. i'm coming to a point now that i think i might need liners! when i discharge (ewwwy) it sometimes completely stops me in my tracks and i have to run to the bathroom to check if i pee (tmi sorry)

I'm pretty sure there is no tmi on this board anymore.  I just told a bunch of strangers that my vagina smells like hair dye.  I wouldn't worry about it. 

My thing is, it doesn't smell like pee...it's a really strong ammonia smell.  Do you guys think it would just get stronger if it's been sitting there for a while?  By the way, I joined the pantyliner club weeks ago because of the discharge.  I wear cloth pads/liners (which I can't recommend enough--love them!), so I never run out.  I just wear one every day to be on the safe side.  So anyway, when I'm talking about the smell, it's coming from my pantyliner.  Don't know if that makes any difference.

I would have your doctor check for a uti. Good luck...thank god it's not BV. That is the worst. Yuck!

I don't always feel mine leaking out. The way I tell is that my discharge is clear or whitish. My pee is yellow. Even if I've been drinking lots of water, it's still light yellow.

yeah, idk why it smells so toxic(lol)? but just ask your dr. it could be something, then again it could just be another joy of being pregnant!

Yeah, I think I'm going to try to go without a pantyliner for a day or two so I can get a better idea of what's going on.  Because I wear cloth pads/liners that come in different colors/patterns, it's sometimes hard to distinguish color on the liner.  I guess if I have to get a little pee in my underwear, so be it.

I had that same exact problem pre-PG. I'm incredibly prone to UTI's, unfortunately, but not all of them are the same. My doctor started me on antibiotics (again) and the funk was no more.

Ive had the EXACT same problem since I got my BFP.. my doc is doing a pap in two weeks and will take a swab to test for my issue.
