Right now I have a bunch of bags in the freezer and I will be moving them to the tiny freezer that we have in the basement. We have a small frig down there from when we lived at the IL's its about 4ft tall but has a separate freezer. I know that space is going to run out in the freezer fast at the rate I am going in milk producing.I am freezing them flat so that the bags fit better in containers, but I've already got 50 bags in there ranging in 2oz-5oz per bag.
Did you go out and buy a small freezer? I am tempted to do this or look on Craig's list for one.
Re: pumpers where are you storing your milk?
OMG, you already have 50 bags at a little over a week?! That is a great stash!
I've only got about 10 bags or so in my stash. I'm now trying to freeze at least 1-2 bags per day and we've talked about getting a small freezer too.
I save 16oz every night from pumping and about 5oz every day from the milk that leaks. (I have a Milkie milk saver, totally better than letting the milk soak through my breastpad!) My freezer door is filled with bags of milk, and it's full so I need to get something else to store them in. I also need to get some really big ziploc bags to save them by week so they're organized somehow.
I'm searching CL for a used mini freezer/deep freezer. DH refuses to buy one new because of the cost, but we could always use it after all the milk is gone for freezing meals. But, CL's it for me right now...
