I know this is asked a ton....but just wondering for my situation:
We have 2 graco nautilus car seats for my 2 older DDs. My little one (16.5 mos), 21 lbs is still rear facing. She's currently in a Britax Roundabout, but I know it expires pretty quick, and we're looking to get a different seat.
We're looking to keep her RF for quite a while longer yet, so we're looking for the best option. Thinking about a Sunshine Kids Radian. Whats the difference between those? the 65 SL (found for 184.99--is this a good price??)
What other options do we have for a great seat? Not looking at getting another Roundabout.
Thanks!!
Re: car seat question
I love the radian. If you can afford it, I'd get the XT for the side impact protection. The radian has great RF leg room. The biggest downside is that it can take up a lot of room front-back and can be hard to install in some cars.
The first years true fit is another good option for a little less money--it's the same height, if not slightly higher, and also has good RF leg room. One big downfall is that the RF weight limit is 5-10 lbs lighter than the radian seats (depending on model), but that doesn't seem like it will be a problem for your daughter. It is usually an easier seat to install and while the same height, sits more upright so it isn't so intrusive.
Is the XTSL the one you're referring to? I saw this for 239.99--good price??
Would you go with the First Years True Fit over a britax?
That's not a bad price. However, if it's not in your budget or it's a stretch, the 65 is a good choice, too! We have one of each
I'd go with the true fit over a britax. It's taller so it will last longer, and the added leg room makes ERF more comfortable.
