So, four times now in the past week or so, Charles has gotten sick and thrown up all over the place (entire stomach contents) with no warning and he's perfectly fine afterwards. Tonight we were just coming home from dinner out and he yakked all over in his BRAND NEW car seat.
Seems there's no rhyme or reason for it. Three of the times he was in a moving vehicle (either car or plane). The other time he'd just finished breakfast here at the house in his high chair. I can't think of anything he'd eaten that's been unusual to him. And I wouldn't say he's gobbled his food or over ate in at least a couple of the instances, anyway.
I plan to call the pedi on Monday, but what do you all make of this?? Is this just some sort of phase? Perhaps a bug?
Re: Puking question
Britax Marathon 70 in Onyx. Currently hanging out to dry!
FYI... when hubby scrubbed it up last night, there was a ton of black color coming out of the fabric. The seat cover says not to wash it, bummer.
Not to WASH it? Seriously? Maybe someone needs to remind the Britax folks that they're making products for toddlers?
No help on the throwing up. Margaux hasn't horked in months and months, knock wood. I hope the pediatrician can help.

I would think carsick, too, except the one time he was just in his high chair. So that might not be it. He certainly doesn't overeat since I can barely get him to eat anything as it is. I thought maybe he was overexcited on a couple of times, but on the plane, he'd been sleeping for over an hour, woke up and about 15 minutes later, he thew up.
So really, no common threads that I can see at all. Maybe he's just in a puky phase. If that's the case, I ain't' gonna put him in the car at all! We'll just stay home or walk to wherever we need to be. I'm tired of cleaning out that thing!! We even skipped church today just in case, and that NEVER happens.
Could it be he is teething? I'm sure you have read it before from me...but here it goes again. Sienna pukes every time she has a tooth coming in. I think it actually happens a couple weeks before, probably when the saliva is the heaviest. Always perfectly fine aftrwards. Keep an eye & see if something comes out within the next couple of weeks.
I did turn the carseat facing forwards against my own better judgement because I think she was also getting carsick. Haven't had a problem since. I think I have washed my carseat at least 5 times already. It's such a *** to take it apart but spot cleaning it with a towel will never work. Says not to machine wash, but it has not gotten damaged yet.
Hmmm. Didn't think about teething. But his molars are in and he's not really drooling all that much. But his gums are pretty red and sore looking around where the canines would be. Maybe they're coming in??
The only other time he was puky like this was when we had that bad Simulac with the insect parts that was eventually recalled. And I can't blame the formula since we're on milk now and that isn't always involved either.
Funny--DH said last night, "Of all the puke, the milk ones are the worse." Last night it was beef puree, so the puke pretty much just smelled like beef puree. As if there's BETTER puke!!
This.
