OK... diarrhea started last week/weekend, went away, and came back with a vengeance Wed/Thurs (DH gave 2 baths 2 mornings in a row, and we threw out 2 pairs of PJs). Diarrhea went away after we went to the pedi Thursday. We were given the $25 advice of "just let it run its course"
So... Friday comes and he's somewhat better, but late Friday night he has a fever/runny nose/watery eyes. That fever was his highest ever and I called the pedi warm line because of the whole host of symptoms. Again I was given the advice to let it 'run its course.' Today he was miserable. He took a nap (yay because this doesn't happen very often), and when he woke up he had a slight fever (99.5 ish), but it looked like the overall fever broke during his nap since he woke up in a pool of sweat. Within an hour or two of him waking up, his appetite was back, and I actually got him to eat something other than toast or crackers. We still took it easy on what we let him eat, but we gave him some cheerios along with some cinnamon toast.
Anyway, before he went to bed tonight he pooped for the first time since Thursday morning, and while it was not watery at all, it was pretty green. It looked like the texture of ice cream. His fever was gone, but he was still at the end of the 4 hour window from the tylenol I gave him when he got up from his nap. I should also add that he was acting the best he has in days. Should the green concern me or excite me that this illness may finally be ending?
Re: this is a good sign, right? (warning, poo related)
We haven't had the stomach bug that you describe (knock on wood), but I wouldn't let the green color worry you. Justin's poo is green 5 days out of 7, all the time. I have no idea why, but he is totally healthy from every other aspect.
It sounds like B is finally on the mend, thank goodness. I think it's all going to get better from here.

YES! Oh well, we don't go very often... and at least I'm not charged yet for the phone call.
Thanks for reassuring me ladies!
