Am I the only one who is a little creeped out that a few recent posts have over a thousand views?

I'm thinking (hoping?) it's an error. After my post yesterday, I refreshed the page and already had almost 40 views. I can't imagine that in a matter of minutes, 40 people had already viewed the post.

I thought I was having computer issues, but today a couple of times after opening a post, my computer refreshed on it's own like 20 times and I had to "X" out of the site. Maybe it's the site and not my computer?

I think it's beyond strange that it's happened twice in 12 hours.

Okay, that makes me feel better, I guess. Although, I'm definitely glad that I finally decided to change my s/n to allow for a *bit* more anonymity.

I think you're on to something here.  I just scrolled back over a few days and looked at the posts with the stars on them.  There is one that has 59 replies, and it only had 458 views.  That intro post below has almost 2500, but not as many replies.

I'm calling foul and blaming this one on the Bump.

It ups their post count, albeit in a lame, non-legitimate way, so that they can make Gold or Platinum poster.  A serious goal for some folks.

I am willing to bet that someone with too much time on their hands is F5 refreshing.  It looked suspicious until it happened again so soon.  Probably the same person who starred all the posts awhile back.    I wish that person would volunteer to donate their time by coming over here and potty training my DD.  Better use of wasted time, no?

FWIW, you cannot up your post count with just refreshing.  You would have to post something repeatedly, and that would cause the admins to ban the screen name.  I don't even know if that tactic still works.  They were trying to fix that.

It's The Bump, I think. Every time I have posted today, right after I post, it goes back to the original post and refreshes the page nonstop every second until I exit out of it. It'll probably do it again right now. It happened twice while I was responding to that post, though.
