Thank You Notes

I have received a few gifts already (before showers - from our parents, my best friend, and from out of town family). I just sat down to write thank you notes and realized that our parents and my best friend will surely get us more - I know my mom has already mentioned other things she wants to buy us and my best friend is hosting one of my showers, so she's got another card coming too.

Would it be best to wait until after the showers to send out the notes, or just go ahead and send one for what we've already received and write and send another later?

I'm having one March 6, and the other March 12. So a little less than a month away. 2 cards, I guess?

send all the thank yous for everyone else now and wait and send a single card to the rest when you have recieved all of the gifts from them.
