Thermacare Heat Wraps suck!

They're doing SH*T for my muscle spasms.  I had a guy over in PT work my back yesterday twice.  AND on muscle relaxers.  Skelaxin does nothing, Flexiril knocks me out, but unfortunately not through this.  I have had them in my neck and shoulders for years but not mid-back.  I haven't slept in two nights now. 

I need a real heating pad.  A REAL heating pad.  Thanks Thermacare.  Your barely there heat really does it....

Have you tried chiropractic? I was never a believer until i pulled my back out, and had stabbing muscle spasms that made it hard to breathe. It worked great. I went to the visits at first, and was skeptical, but it really did help. Feel better.

I used one of those last night and it was so-so. I'm at work about to cry b/c my back is hurting so bad and I'd kill for a heating pad. If I have another spasm it's over. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm sitting on a heating pad right now with flexiril and vicodin in me for the same exact thing.  The icy hot pads work pretty good, and I also agree that the therma care ones suck.

If you can see your doc, ask for vicoprofen and soma. Vicoprofen is vicodin and ibuprofen mixed and really works well. The soma is stronger muscle relaxer that helps you sleep at night.

I feel for ya, this is a huge part of my life unfortunately, It happens to me all the time.  Feel better!

It hurts but I'm okay enough with the pain to do without pain killers, but it would have to be Tylenol 3 or 4 since I'm allergic to synthetic codeine. We now have a chiropractor in our practice so if this keeps up, I may see him.
