1. Where and how? 6w0d pregnant. Feel pretty good - starting to have food aversions (chicken & salad just like last time).
2. Weekend plans? Not much! Yay!
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on? We're currently saving for day care expenses in 2012, and a new vehicle. We originally were going to get a new vehicle this fall, but have decided we can wait until 2012. More time to save = good!
So in that regard, I'm not spending my money on anything right now but necessities. Wish me luck!
1. 21w6d - feeling okay but my throat hurts and my back makes it hard to sleep soundly. I just feel run down despite taking a nap yesterday and sleeping 9 hours last night!
2. Not much. A lot of hanging out. Hoping to rest. Yoga!
3. We aren't saving towards something specific right now - we have our budget set up so it always draws the same amount to save towards things. So like we save for a vacation, car, etcetc even if those things are not planning in the immediate future. Obviously we just bought a car, but we have most of the money already saved plus the money we get from selling Ryan's car. We are getting ready to adjust our 401k to help cover more of our medical expenses (Grrrrrr so high!) though.
1) 11w6d, really starting to feel better - Ithink I'm getting my energy back!
2) Not much, actually. We have a political dinner on Saturday night, and then we're meeting DH's high school friends after. I'm trying to get DH to take me to dinner sunday at Patachou (we're both off on monday)
3) Right now we're just saving in general (retirement, baby fund, next house) - It is totally unlike me, but I have nothing right now that I want (maybe a new laptop).
1. CD5. Feeling good! Poor Ellie has a bad cold, and even had a fever last night. Lucy is doing well--she is so close to rolling over!
2. Tonight: Firehouse awards banquet
Tomorrow: Early morning grocery shopping for freezer cooking on Sunday. Then we're going to Perfect North for snow tubing, dinner and the casino for a friend's birthday. I'm so excited!!
Sunday: Freezer cooking then just spending the day with DH and the girls. He has the day off!
3. We're saving for our anniversary trip to Napa in April!
2) plans: tonight: funeral home for an aunt that passed away
tomorrow: running around! lots and lots of running around. and it seems everything needs to be done before noon! i'll definitely be taking a nap in the afternoon!
sunday: J has a wrestling meet in New Castle and depending on how well he does, it could be an all day/evening/well into the night event
3) savings/spending: as of this morning, car repairs
2. Weekend plans?-I'm spending the night at my parents tonight. Tomorrow we're going to get some last minute things taken care of and then having dinner with friends
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on? Nugget :-)
DH's friend is coming to visit tomorrow, no major plans otherwise.
haha, sadly there's no such thing as savings when you live on student loans . Someday when we have an income we will have savings towards cars and other fun expenses.
1. CD4. I got on an antibiotic this week and I think my forever cold/sinsu infection is finally clearing up.
2. Tomorrow, Leah and I might make a trip to BRU to look at pottys, she is starting to take more of an intererst in what is going on so I just want to have one for her to sit on and start getting used to.
Sunday - Meeting with my mom, brother and aunts to plan a 5k Walk/Run we are doing this summer in honor of my Dad. My mom and dad took daily walks together, even in the cold of winter, everyday and stayed very physically fit doing it. That was one of the things he really missed once he got diagnosed, so it is a really great way to honor him and bring awareness about brain tumors.
3. I guess for whenever LO #2 happens, more than likely DH will be a SAHD so we are trying to save as much as we can now for those few years he would be home and we will be living on one income. Right now his whole paycheck goes to our savings and we live off of mine, so hopefully things don't change much when we are don't have his anymore.
1. Where and how? 18w2d, feeling terrible... got sick 3 times this morning so far... blah. But got to hear baby's heartbeat at Dr's appt yesterday (152 and baby is very active, Dr says, though I still can't feel it very much) so that makes the sickness seem worth it!
2. Weekend plans? Relaxing, cleaning, and getting ready for a full house next weekend... we are having 3 friends come stay with us from out of town (mini reunion) and will be having a party on Saturday evening.
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on? Feels like we're hemorrhaging money right now... but they're all expenses we planned for. Going to Ireland in a month (yay!) and baby furniture/baby room stuff.
1. 38+ weeks pregnant. I'm having a lot of irregular contractions. I'm thankful to have made it to today, but as soon as I leave the hospital tomorrow morning after my call tonight, I'm ready to have this baby anytime!
2. I'm on call at the hospital tonight. Otherwise, maybe having a baby? If not, we are planning to celebrate Valentinee's Day at the Melting Pot on Sunday evening. Not a bad alternative
3. Student loans. We just refinanced our mortgage and paid off what credit card debt we had; now we are trying to make a dent in the loans. Between my husband and I we have over $250,000 in federal and private student loans from undergrad, med school, and law school. We are the poorest physician-attorney couple ever. Chris works for the government so his hours are great but his salary sucks; his private practice is picking up though. Things will be better once I'm done with residency and making a real salary.
Where/How 33w0d pregnant. My back hurts. I'm starting to feel big. I'm to the point where LO can seemingly stretch and simultaneously reach from my ribs to my crotch. I'm feeling a lot of movement. I remember this from being pregnant with Paige, and then I remember when she got too big to move so much and just started stretching all the time. :-)
Weekend Plans Not really sure. I'd love to head to the mall, to Gymboree, and pick up a couple of things. I have a feeling it'll be the last trip to the mall I make for a while. Like, months. It's starting to hurt to walk very far.
Saving Money The birth of LO. I'd rather be spending the money on a much-needed SUV, but such is life.
1. 3.5 mths and 18mths pp. EXHAUSTED. I think Nora has whooping cough. we are taking her in at 10 today. We almost went to the ER last night the coughing was so bad. T&P please!
2. NOTHING!
3. My husband is a huge ND fan (like a lot of you girls on here) we are saving to go to Ireland in 2012 for the game and trip to Europe.

I totally feel your pain . It almost seems like monopoly money after a while. Luckily we haven't had private loans yet, but just looking at the federal ones freaks me out.

I think you just proved what a huge misconception there is about young professionals. I'm guessing you have family/friends who assume you guys have money to burn because of your job titles - probably really frustrating, right?
Just goes to show that you can't judge a person's financial situation by their job titles. My BIL & SIL have very modest salaries so everyone thinks they're in the poor house, but they live off of one salary and have more saved than most people I know.
1. Where and how? 32w5d I'm getting over a cold. Feeling stressed about work, which sucks. Hoping we can get some more stuff done in the baby's room here soon.
2. Weekend plans? Working tomorrow, blech. Hopefully not much on Sunday.
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on?

Just goes to show that you can't judge a person's financial situation by their job titles. My BIL & SIL have very modest salaries so everyone thinks they're in the poor house, but they live off of one salary and have more saved than most people I know.
This is very true. People think we have a lot of money because my husband is in med school... uh he's not a doctor yet! Even then it will be years and years before he's done with residency and we've paid off the loans.
My brother is a corporate lawyer for a very large company. Everyone thinks he's loaded, he has a huge amount of student loans still to pay off, he is definitely not rolling in it.
1. Where and how? 24 w 2 d, finally feeling as strong as I did before the kidney infection/hopsitalization
2. Weekend plans? Visiting the little BIL at DePauwthis evening, taking it easy Saturday, ILs coming Sunday to take us to lunch and see the progress on the new house--which now has a shingled roof and windows!
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on? We are saving for when I'm on maternity leave and also for necessities in the new house: fridge, W/D, blinds for every window, building a deck, etc.
I think you just proved what a huge misconception there is about young professionals. I'm guessing you have family/friends who assume you guys have money to burn because of your job titles - probably really frustrating, right?
For sure. It's very frustrating. Many of our friends make significantly more money than we do right now, and it's hard to stay disciplined. My husband's parents are very "live beyond their means" type people and it's scary to me; I have to keep my husband in check. I know (hope) that all of our education will pay off eventually, but it's tough right now when we don't want to delay life (like having kids) because we're not getting any younger either. Something else we've spent money on lately is a good financial planner who specializes in young professionals like us with significant student loan debt - I'm hoping that will be money well spent!
1. Where and how? CD5. Feeling good. It's Friday, my parents will be here tomorrow so DH and I are going to see a movie.
2. Weekend plans? Oops. See above! Also getting tires on the van and getting the oil changed...guess I should call about that!
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on? Not really saving for anything, but plan to buy in the next 6 months: TV, treadmill and elliptical, new mattress for us, curtains and curtain rods, an iPad, and a truck for DH.
3. Student loans. We just refinanced our mortgage and paid off what credit card debt we had; now we are trying to make a dent in the loans. Between my husband and I we have over $250,000 in federal and private student loans from undergrad, med school, and law school. We are the poorest physician-attorney couple ever. Amen. It gets frustrating when people assume our 2 attorney family has money to burn.
1. Where and how? 3.5 months PP, doing pretty good!
2. Weekend plans? cleaning, relaxing, etc.
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on? Trying to pay off the tiny amt. of debt that we have and we are currently spending a lot of money on formula. It makes me cry. Why is it so damn expensive? I guess I am having some guilt issues over my low breast milk supply issues and not being to save as much money by pumping as I had hoped. That turned into a vent I guess.
1. Somewhere mid/end of cycle, i'm not really sure because I never got a + opk this month and stopped temping because it was making me insane. feel pretty good, although i've been traveling for work this week and am worn out.
2. Nothing! We were busy last weekend so are excited to chill this weekend. I'm thinking of taking Nick to get some 2 year pics done at target or somewhere.
3. We're building our savings back up after buying our house this summer. We really want to be able to get new windows this spring but they are so expensive!!
3. Student loans. We just refinanced our mortgage and paid off what credit card debt we had; now we are trying to make a dent in the loans. Between my husband and I we have over $250,000 in federal and private student loans from undergrad, med school, and law school. We are the poorest physician-attorney couple ever. I am totally there, too... DH and I are both engineers and make good money, but the student loans are a killer!
2. I have no idea. I work tomorrow, but off on Sunday. I may take all 3 kids to the CM. I have some shopping to do as well since all this unexpected money is coming in my hands. :-)
3. Well, we were saving, but we just got some GREAT unexpected news with a HUGE amount of money coming in our hands. We plan on getting a new car and fence for our backyard. I plan on putting money on the side for 3 college students in our future.
More work on the nursery! Hoping to get the ceiling finished and painted and finish priming the dressers. Ryan and I are also doing a Valentine's Day dinner at home on Sunday night because he's leaving Monday morning for a business trip.
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on?
As a couple, nothing specific. Just saving to have it.
1. Tomorrow's the start of week 3 of nuva ring. Can't believe I'm almost 7 months pp! A little run down since Josie was up twice Wed night--I think b/c of her (#$&@(*#$& shots.
2. Tonight dinner w/Todd's fam for his dad's bday at Kona Jack's. Tomorrow we're going to the Lyle Lovett/ John Hiatt concert (I'm just along for the ride). There is a chance we could run into Todd's ex which would be interesting--she's good friends with John Hiatt's niece and is usually at his shows. Sunday cleaning and hopefully my dad will come over to hang some some hooks so we can get some crap out of the garage.
3. Spending money for the honeymoon. And by saving, I mean trying not to spend extra. After that we'd like to get a new tv. Now I'm spending a lot of $ on my new car!

3. Student loans. We just refinanced our mortgage and paid off what credit card debt we had; now we are trying to make a dent in the loans. I hear you on this one. Even though my husband isn't a doctor, I have considerable student loans from law school. I hate them and can't wait until they are out of my life forever. It's gonna be a while though!
1. Where and how? 13w1d pg - feeling stressed, but good.
2. Weekend plans? Tonight - either working late or cleaning house (fun)
Tomorrow - we're headed to Indy and/or Edinburgh to do some shopping
Sunday - church and work
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on? The biggest thing that we're saving for is a big graduation trip in 2012.
2. friend's son's birthday party at 1 then birthday party for a girlfriend at night on saturday. Sunday, I am going to try to make a menu and shop for the entire week. Looking forward to trying some of the recipes that you all have shared!
3. Saving for a new (used) car. We are also saving for a Disney Cruise in 2012 or 2013. We haven't been on a real vacation since our honeymoon so we want to make that trip really special with Preslee!
2. Starbucks this afternoon! <--call me sad for being excited about that. Tonight laying low with DH and Annie, plans tomorrow during the day with a friend and her LO. Other than that I don't have specific plans.
3. We are kind of constantly saving for the sake of saving and living modestly, especially since DH is in school and we are living on my income alone. Things tend to come up for which we will dip into our savings, like air travel to visit my family or our upcoming trip to Charleston for my cousin's wedding.
1. Where and how? Nearly seven months PP. Crazytown. Feeling great!
2. Weekend plans? Tonight, hanging out! Rest of the wknd is up in the air - Abe has drill so G and I will be hanging out I hope to do some quilting as my free-motion and even-feed attachments are coming in the mail today!
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on? Spending money on all my crazy hobbies. I'm trying to bust my yarn stash a bit because it's obnoxiously huge right now but I've been buying fabric and fun things for my Cricut We've been carrying on our regular savings (retirement, general, college, G's normal acct) and aren't really saving for anything special.
CD27 10dpo. Eh..ok. Gracie wet the bed lastnight at 1am, so had to clean her and that up. Did not sleep good at all after that. Very tired. Also, having cramps and really moody..my guess..af is on the way.
2. Weekend plans?
Working midnights tonight and have nothing else going on this weekend. Probably just spending time at home.
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on?
For the future...house, kids, kids' schooling, new vehicles, new camper, vacation sometime.
1. Where and how? not sure. feeling good! happy it's the weekend.
2. Weekend plans?
pedis+dinner with some girlfriends tonight.
working out + shopping + house projects tomorrow during the day, dinner+drinks with some friends at night.
Sunday: church, more house projects?, dinner w/ my sister.
I'm excited for my first me-weekend....hehe
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on?
long term: retirement & misc (college, next house, etc),
shorter term (the things on our "goals" chart, 1-2 yrs out): certain $ in the bank by time we have a baby (overall goal), 8 OOT weddings in 2011, kitchen renovation (Jan 2012), landscaping/railing for porch (spring 2011), house maintenance (duct/furnace cleaning).
2. Tonight: playing games with our neighbors. They bought Shadows Over Camelot and it's awesome.
Saturday: DH is going biking in the morning, I'm sleeping in. He'll probably do homework. No other plans.
Sunday: Church, rock climbing, new small group at church, games or homework depending on DH.
3. A chest freezer. It's a small thing, but we're really excited about it. After that will be our vacation up east. And we are working like mad to pay down debt.
1. CD 5. Trying to figure out if I'm hormonal and stressed over a few sucky situations in life or dealing with PPD.
2. My mom is coming to visit on Saturday! Then Sunday is rest, work, church, not in that order.
3. We're trying to pay ourselves back the money we've had to take out since June. But given where we thought we'd be vs. where we actually are, we're really proud of how we're doing financially.

1. mid-cycle; good other than a lower backache - we need a new mattress
2. Pedi in the am and then a friends daughters b-day party
3. just saving in general, but future purchases hope to include a new mattress and entertainment center.

1. CD3- feeling okay now. Yesterday I had the worst cramps I've had in many months.
2. You know what? I don't have any plans! Wow. I'll probably hang out with my mom a little bit.
3. Spending $ on TTC. We're also working on Getting Out Of Debt By 2013. TTC is NOT helping that endeavor.
1. Where and how? 24 w 2 d, finally feeling as strong as I did before the kidney infection/hopsitalization
2. Weekend plans? Visiting the little BIL at DePauw this evening, taking it easy Saturday, ILs coming Sunday to take us to lunch and see the progress on the new house--which now has a shingled roof and windows!
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on?
We are saving for when I'm on maternity leave and also for necessities in the new house: fridge, W/D, blinds for every window, building a deck, etc.
Not really saving for anything, but plan to buy in the next 6 months: TV, treadmill and elliptical, new mattress for us, curtains and curtain rods, an iPad, and a truck for DH.Amen. It gets frustrating when people assume our 2 attorney family has money to burn.
So glad it's Friday! Amen!
I am totally there, too... DH and I are both engineers and make good money, but the student loans are a killer!
1. AF showed up today. Boo!

I hear you on this one. Even though my husband isn't a doctor, I have considerable student loans from law school. I hate them and can't wait until they are out of my life forever. It's gonna be a while though!

3. Saving for a new (used) car. We are also saving for a Disney Cruise in 2012 or 2013. We haven't been on a real vacation since our honeymoon so we want to make that trip really special with Preslee!
1. 9.5months pp. Feel good and glad it's Friday!
1. CD 18. Apparently still no O. Confused.
2. Dinner at Sullivans and a movie tomorrow for Valentine's day with DH and then probably taking DS swimming on Sunday.
3. Saving for a fence in the backyard and also saving for a future vacation somewhere.
1. ?? Feeling pretty good.
2. Not sure. We might go look at cars.
3. Getting ready to buy a car. Huge purchases make me nauseous. There's so much pressure to choose the right one.
2. Weekend plans? Tonight, hanging out! Rest of the wknd is up in the air - Abe has drill so G and I will be hanging out
3. What are you currently saving money for? And if you're not saving, what are you spending a lot of your money on?
1. Where and how?
CD27 10dpo.

1. CD 10ish. Feel great!
Mother's Day, 2011
1)10 months pp. Feeling pretty good.
2) don't have any plans really, other than IL's for lunch sunday
