Am I Really Pregnant?

On Jan. 28 I had Ovidrel shot followed by IUI on Jan. 30.  I took pregnancy test on Feb. 4 and it was negative.  I took another pregnancy test tonight, Feb. 8 and it was positve!

If I were going to get a false positive wouldn't the first test have shown positive?  It doesn't make sense for the 1st one to be negative and this to be positive....right?  BTW I retested because I am now within1 week of my period and that's the earliest most home pregnancy test can predict...It's been 12 days since Ovidrel.

    You are pregnant!!  Congrats!  I think the ovidrel would be out of your system and the real HCG would be!!  YEA!!
    Baby #1: 19 cycles, failed IUI, and 1 + IVF 3-5-07
    Baby #2: 12 cycles, 1 failed FET, natural miracle but m/c at 9 weeks then another natural miracle that stuck! 9-30-09

    TTC #3 - 4 cycles - no BFP yet!

    TTC since 10/09 Me-43 DH-44 RE and testing 10/10-11/10, Recommending IVF 1/11 New RE AMA and DOR-DH low motility IVF #1.1 cancelled 3/11 due to poor response IVF #1.2 May 2011, one perfect 8-cell embryo, 3dt-BFN, IVF #2.1 Converted to IUI d/t poor response. New RE 9/2011. IVF 2.2 completed using HGH,EPP,DHEA, Q-10 and accupuncture. Transferred one 8-cell, grade one embryo on 10/19. BFP 10/31/11 Chemical pregancy on 11/2/11. Started stims for IVF #3, our final try, on 12-2-11. ET on 12/18. Transferred 3 Grade A embryos-BFFN Planning DE IVF, late March/early April- Donors ER expected to be 4/2-4/4. PAIF/SAIF welcome

    Wow, you can get a positive 10 days after IUI?  I am 8 days past my first IUI also with Ovidrel. My RE has me coming in next week for a pregnancy blood test. I was definitely planning on holding off until then, but now that I read your post it has me considering  POAS. I usually have PMS symptoms by now, but nothing it all. I'm just waiting for some kind of sign of anything! Congrats to you!!!

    Congrats!   I had an Ovidrel shot on Jan 29 and tested BFN today so I bet this is a real BFP for you!
