MY BF WANTS TO DO A BABY SHOWER FOR ME THIS WOULD BE MY 3RD CHILD I FEEL LIKE PEOPLE ARE GONNA BE LIKE WHY IS SHE MAKING A SHOWER FOR THE 3RD ONE IF SHE HAS KIDS ALREADY...HAS SOMEBODY HAD A SHOWER MORE THAN ONCE OR FOR ALL KIDS
my auntie did it or all 3 of her kids.... a few people commented on why, but they still came to all and had a great time ! i thinks its a nice idea coz then everyone can get almost as excited as you are for the arival of ur bubs!
No, it would be very tacky to host your own shower (or have bf host it). Is it his first kid? Then I can see having a small party, but only if someone else offers to throw it for you.

I think she might mean her best friend when she says "BF"
IMO...full-blown showers for babies other than the first are tacky. Unless there are many years between kids I doubt very much is needed...you just use what you have left from previous kids. If your friend wants to do something special for you she could host a "sprinkle"...meaning a very small get-together inviting only closest friends and family.
You are right...some people will dfinitely wonder why you would be having a shower for your 3rd.
Yes, having a shower for your third child seems tacky to me.
If your best friend wants to throw a party for you and your upcoming LO, have a sprinkle as someone else suggested. Only invite family and your closest friends & make sure they know it's a sprinkle and aren't asking for the big gifts. Just diapers, wipes, bathing stuff, etc.
