Okay, so here are a few necklace options from WH/BM. I just jumped to this store because it's easy to find a few "looks" that I like. I'm sure you can find similar pieces anywhere, right now, if you don't want to spend $50+ on one necklace.

I really like the look of bold necklaces, especially with a [somewhat] simple top. However, if you don't want something quite as dramatic, here are a few other options.

I was mostly confused as to short vs long. Looks like you think short would look better with that shirt?

You could *probably* do either; however, for some reason, I think a longer necklace would actually dress DOWN that top. Since you said the dinner was a bit more formal, I'd go the short[er]/bold[er] route. Plus, I tend to think you can get a bit more wear out of a shorter style (as it pairs with a wider variety of neck lines).

((butting in too))I was just about to post the same thing as Melissa--I don't know if it was just our Kohls down here in Cold Spring, KY but I saw a few necklaces very similar to the first two listed. Plus they were on sale!
