If you RF, where is your car seat?

Behind the passenger, the driver or in the middle? And why did you choose that spot?

  • Behind the passenger's seat. The baby is in the infant seat behind me.

  • behind the passenger seat because when DH drives my car he can't fit as well when it is behind the drivers seat.

ETA: Plus I have sort of morbid thoughts sometimes, and I sort of have this idea that I want to be on the opposite side of the car from her in case we are hit.  That way if impact is on her side I can hopefully get to her ok, and if impact is on my side then hopefully she's unhurt or only has minor injuries.  I know it's a sick way to think, but that's what happens when you are an ER nurse I guess.

  • behind the passenger seat, I hate climbing to the middle (especially with the infant carrier) and it doesn't fit behind the driver's seat (and even now my passengers could use some more leg room).

  • In the middle b/c it's the safest place.

  • Behind the driver's side in the 4Runner (easier for me to get him out; passenger can recline on road trips), in the middle in the Corolla (so we can move the front seats & for safety, since it's a little car).

  • In my car, behind the passenger because that's where it fits best. In DH's car, the middle because it's safest.

  • In general we keep the RF seat behind the passenger and the FF seat behind the driver because DH sometimes drives the car and he wouldn't fit in the drivers seat if there was a RF seat behind it. Occasionally if we're taking a longer trip (2 hours each way or more) we'll move the seats around because I can just fit in the driver seat with her RF behind me and that was DH is more comfortable. The middle is not an option because our car doesn't have a middle seat (no seatbelt and the space between the two outboard seats is less than 6 inches).

I would do this but I have to use the LATCH system for it to fit well and in our car you can't use the latch in the middle.

So she's on the passenger side, otherwise DH couldn't drive the car because he is too tall for the carseat to be there

  • In DH's car, she's in the middle.

In our van, she's behind the driver, because the middle isn't an option (you can't have a carseat at all on the other seat in the middle bench because of how the seatbelts go). It's convenient because it's right next to the sliding door and I can easily get her in and out.

  • We have DS's carseat behind the passenger seat, and the baby's is going behind the driver. They won't fi tnext to each other in my car.

  • Middle, because it's safest and we only have the one child.  I do like it in the middle also because I can get in and sit in the seat behind the driver seat to take off his coat and get him buckled in.

  • Behind the passenger.
  • We have her in the middle because we feel it is the safest place for her regardless of what part of the car is hit.

    Ditto

  • Not ditto. My older son is behind me. My little guy is behind the passenger seat.
  • Center - per the vehicle manual.  Plus it's the safest.

  • On the sides, 'cause there's two of them. :)
In their infant seats, we had them in the middle and behind the driver but their convertibles won't fit that way.
If I had just one LO, I'd have him in the middle.
