Just a random question. When on her tummy DD just lays there, I think it is hard for her to get her chest and head up balancing on a fluffy bum. She is a lot better on my chest at an angle. I was also wondering if it was harder or take longer for them to learn how to roll over, her diaper does weigh more than a sposie and alot more bulky. Did any of you find this with your LOs? I was just curious.

Re: Do you think a Fluffy Bum hinders/makes harder early movement?
Yeah I wasn't worried that it would effect her long term, just that she is taking a little longer to reach certain milestones that her friends her age have already reached as far as physical movement.
Friends her age? She's not even 3 months old. The only physical movement milestone that kids might reach at that age is rolling over, and most kids are NOT rolling over by 3 months old, regardless of the diaper on their butts.
Anyway, kids develop at their own pace. I did notice that DS (CD'ed from birth) hit many of his early physical milestones slightly later than DD (in disposables until 15 months old), and I worried that it might be the diapers. But in retrospect, I think it was just his personality. He's always been into being vertical, and so he wasn't so interested in rolling over, sitting up, and crawling (although he still hit all of those milestones easily within the typical age range), but when it came to standing up and walking, he was actually ahead of DD.

No, I don't worry. My DS has been hitting his milestones on time.
If it bothers you, give your LO naked butt time while she is doing tummy time.
