Why is it so hard to get DS to sleep?

He used to go down so easy but this week he's been fighting to sleep at night. This is fraustrating!!!

    They go through phases. Whenever DS has a bad sleep phase, I start to wonder if I will need to do something about it (like sleep train or something) and it's almost as soon as I think that that he goes back to his old ways. Right now he is in a phase where he is either waking up super early at 5:55 or having a night waking at 4am and having a hard time going back to sleep. Neither is fun and I hope it passes soon!
