I have my Bachelor's in music, Master's in elementary ed and am currently working as a DSAPed TESOL teacher meaning because they need people in the field, they hired me even though I'm not certified yet. I'm also taking classes to complete my TESOL certification.

I am a clinical social worker. I supervise a staff of 10 others that coordinate the care of kids with serious emotional disabilities and carry a small case load myself. I have a BS in social work as well as my masters in social work.
I am a Senior Media Planner/Buyer at an advertising agency. The clients in my portfolio are in the health care and hospitality (resorts) industries. I take their target demo, analytical data and key feeder market research to recommend annual advertising campaigns. So basically I buy TV/radio commercials, magazine/newspaper ads, billboards, banner ads online and anything in between on behalf of my clients.
I have a degree in Communications, a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Public Relations.
I work for a company that represents people in their Social Security Disability claims. Before our reps take clients to hearings, I review their medical records and write up notes about the pertinent things that help (and sometimes harm) their case. Then I write up a brief that is given to the judge to review.
My BA is in English, and this is certainly not the job I ever thought I'd be in but it pays very well for my small town so for now, this is it.
I am a speech and language pathologist. I have a BS in Communication Disorders and an MS in speech & language pathology. I work with special ed kids in the public schools and I LOVE it.

I do SEO/SEM (search engine optimization/marketing) full time for lawyers and law firms at a large legal company. I have been doing this for a little over 8 years. In addition to this, I am a freelance writer. I've done some creative work, but most of my freelance has been home decorating, NYC fashion week coverage, and other beauty and fashion writing.
Can I start by saying I REALLY enjoy school? I got my first undergrad degree in liberal arts with a minor in physical sciences, because I was studying architecture and engineering and got a job outside that field that I thought I loved. Then I wanted to teach English/Writing and completed a double BA in writing and literature, minoring in linguistics.
THEN, I decided I wanted to teach university students and not high school. Instead of the masters in education, I went for an MFA in creative writing (at a school with a great reputation). I plan to go back for a PhD in comparative literature. It was a huge adjustment after I finished my masters to not have to go to school anymore. I honestly miss it!

I first got certified as a Radiologic technologist, just so I could move into sonography. Then I completed the program and registries for Ultasound. I am certified as an ultrasound tech in ObGyn, abdomen/small parts, and vascular. I worked in US 3 yrs then decided my heart was to be a full time SAHM. I will keep up my cont.ed. in case I want to jump back in the field. But I won't go back to work in a hospital again. Right now I love staying home with my kiddo!

Sometimes I feel like I want to go back and learn a completely new subject. I couldn't even choose what to minor in! I still love learning about sociology, linguistics and anthropology (and of course, linguistic anthropology, lol). I enjoy it so much.

Ditto - although not QUITE as extreme as you ladies. Just going for one degree at each level. (Overachievers!) I have to say it was an adjustment to get back into school after a few years off after my bachelors but I honestly don't know what I'll do with my time after I'm done with this degree. I guess it's good I'm having a baby!

Ha! That sounds like H. In his undergrad he majored in Sociology and then minored in public heath and Near Eastern Judaic Studies. Haha!
Sometimes I think it would be fun to go to a community college and learn a trade type degree too. I just like going to school though. As soon as H finished his PhD I hope to be back in school.

I know what you mean. I feel like going to school gives me energy in some way.
I'm an RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician).... basically a RN for animals Working 4 days a week now, but will go down to 2-3 days after LO is born-- cant wait!!!
I used to work in the mental health field (in NY). I was an assistant supervisor of a non-profit apartment treatment program. I worked there for 9 years; 4 yrs as a counselor & 5 yrs as the assistant supervisor.
I have my BS in Health Services Management with an emphasis in Public Health. I was a community health educator for a year, then I was a mental health case worker and QMRP for 3 years and had it up to my eyeballs with social work so I threw in the towel.
I took a part time job working for a retail store when I quit social work, to just "get by" and kept interviewing for other jobs, but never found one that fit! I now RUN the store I originally was working PT for 4 years ago. I love it so much, I never knew I was cut out for retail management. I make my own hours and work however much I need/want to. I rarely work 40 hours a week! After baby is here I will stay home for 3 months and return for xmas shopping season and probably work 25 to 30 hours a week. I'm blessed to have a great team working for me and a very understanding boss/owner.
I am also a RN. I have my BS in Nursing. I've worked in L&D for the past 6+ years, but I have also worked in a surgical ICU, Cardiology & cardiac stepdown units.
I'm an lpn, I think that's equivalent to an lvn in the US. I was out of high school for 2 years when I decided to take it, and I've been doing it for a year now. I honestly don't like going to school, I hate having homework and assignments and I love being free so I won't be going back to school to become an RN.
Well mine is quite different from everyone else! Im a Natural Resource Specialist Park Ranger. I have a BS in Park and Resource Management. In between jobs currently... but I love what I do!
I am the Assistant Director for Residence life at a University and I teach Freshman Seminar. I love Higher Ed. although the students can definitely be a handful.
I have my BS in Business Administration and my MBA in Global Management.
RN Currently only have an associates degree, been toying with the idea of getting my bachelors, but it won't really do me any good...LOL Yeah I can do management, but that really isn't my thing. Been working good 'ol' med/surg for 4 years in May LOL and I dunno why I stick with it...it's frustrating and our clients...yeah...My dream job would be to be a WIC nurse...I love wounds but then I'd actually have to go back to school...LOL
I have my AS in Business Administration and Marketiting. I work for a life insurance company in the treasury department as a treasury specialist. I also coach all-star cheerleading and tumling.

I have a BA in History (and VA 6-12 social studies licensure, which involves extra coursework but no extra degree) and I teach 9th grade World History. I'm working on my M.Ed.
I'm a nurse on a busy surgical floor. I'm also a certified Wound, Ostomy, & Continence nurse. I work full-time nights and am exhausted! Resigning in 3-4weeks for sure. Hoping to go back after a year, per diem or part-time.
I have a bachelors degree in Bio-behavioral health and plan to go back for my masters in Genetics after LO #2 is in Kindergarten. So for now I am a SAHM.
Apparently there is no shortage of teachers here! Add me to the list. I teach grade 5 French immersion. I spend 70% of my day in French and I teach math and language arts in English. It's a pretty good gig. C'est bon!
Next summer, I hope to do some more courses to become certified in teaching for the deaf and blind. There is a school for the deaf and blind around the corner from my house and it's always been a dream of mine to work there.
