Crampy and gas pains (maybe TMI)

Sorry in advance if this is a repetitive post.

I've been experiencing period-like cramps and gas pains the last week or so. It seems too far down to be gas pains (2-3 inches below my belly button) but everyone describes quickening as "flutters" or a goldfish swimming. I don't feel flutters at all.

Is this the baby? Gas? Should I be concerned about the cramps?

  • Have you been going to the restroom regularly? I know I get that feeling when I haven't been able to go for a few days. I've been taking Fiber Gummy chews everyday which has been helping.  Still gassy, but its not painful like it use to be.

No flutters yet either :( I really want to feel those!

  • I think it might be gas and stretching.  I was getting a lot of pain in that area earlier this week, but now I look bigger.  Nothing is TMI!  If it feels like severe cramps, definitely call the doctor.  I hope you feel your LO soon!

    This is good advice.

My gas cramps (ugh, which are frequent) start out like period cramps for like a minute but then they move on to a more normal location.

  • I don't care what books/internet/doctors say about where my intestines are supposed be to shoved to now....I know I can feel gas/poop pains in my lower abdomen...menstrual/uterine cramps do not start near one side/hip and shift horizontally across to the other side..  I've been crampy the past week too, usually worse in the evening, but it always results in gas/pooping...so I'm not too worried.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

  • Or I forgot to add that my dr told me that when I get cramps, to drink water.
