So now that we've brought the newborn home, my 15 month old is acting like a "Terrible Two." She screams for attention constantly, always wants me to pick her up, and has trouble napping and going to sleep.
Most concerning, though, is that she has been on a hunger strike for almost a week now. She won't eat anything at mealtimes! She will pick at all of her food, throw it on the floor or try to hide it under the placemat...even some of the foods that she most liked before! She will eat crackers or cereal out of her "Munchie Mug" in between meals, but never at the table.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any helpful hints? I try to make her sit at the table until she eats something, but I always end up giving in because I have to take care of the baby and can't stay at the table for hours on end. I feel like if I keep letting her "not eat" and give her snacks, then she will eventually end up pushing me on other things. But I can't just let her starve! This is so frustrating!
Re: Help! DD#1 won't eat!
DD is doing the same thing (15 months), and only eating crackers/cereal. It is brutal because she is only 3rd percentile to begin with and the doctors really want her to gain. She was a decent eater before she turned one, but has become horrible in the last month or so. She's been cutting molars, but been bad even when she was cutting her other teeth. She just got one her her lower front, after a molar. Sometime they come out of order. I'm just hoping it all ends soon or eventually. She won't even do the Gerber stuff/mac n cheese/hot dogs/grilled cheese. GL!
