Re: Acupuncture??

  • I did about 8 months of acupuncture to get pg and then get pg again after my first loss.  I sort of lost faith in it after my second loss.  I found it relaxing and did see results in quantity of CM and the length of my LP, although those also could have been related to herbs and diet changes I made/took at the advice of my acupuncturist.  I also got pg a lot faster while doing acupuncture than I did without it when we had DS almost 3 years ago.  That said, I'd obviously rather have had 7 months of trying with a take-home baby than 7 months with 2 failed pregnancies.  I did think it was relaxing and a nice way to just focus on me for 45 minutes a week.  It probably can't hurt, is the bottom line.  GL.

  • I am really sorry for your loss.

I went through two previous miscarriages before I was able to have my baby.  I am over 35 years old, so it is not as easy for me to get pregnant again.  Between my previous two losses, there was an eight to nine month wait to get pregnant again.  It is on my list of the craziest things I did to get pregnant.  I went to Nordstrom spa and got acupunture/massage.  It was relaxing.  I do not think that I would have only done acupunture by itself--it was kinda crazy when they put the small needles in your body in order to promote fertility.

And I also did the Yoga 4 Fertility DVD.  So cute-my husband bought me a Starbucks Yoga Bear, and my MIL let me use her yoga mat.  Kinda fun to have your family rooting you on in your quest for fertility.

That being said, if we try to have another baby--with my older age--I would do acupunture again and yoga as well.  And I would have to give up the Soy (love Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monster drink).

Pregnancy is not easy for me.  I was able to get RPL tests after my second loss because of my older age.  But I am more knowlegeable that baby asprin, progesterone, prenatal vitamins (along with Fish Oil -gag!) did help me with my pregnancy with my son (I got to at least 31 weeks).

  • I'm going to go just to get the relaxation benefit.  I find it amazing for anxiety and stress.
  • I researched it when TTC, it was very convincing. I wan gona try it but got a BFP that cycle then M/C at 8w. I think its worth a try. At least you may enjoy it.

  • I've heard it works....I'm in the process of finding someone in my area.

I wish my insurance covered it because it does get expensive. At this point I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get pregnant again. I'm also considering getting this endo nutrition book and going gluten free.
