Stupid bump question

Can someone tell me where I click to change my avatar information (like my location, etc)?  I know there is a place to edit your avatar, but I didn't see anything about changing my location. 

Does anyone else find the new layout of the profile editing, etc confusing?  I don't understand why its always asking me to log in when at the top, I appear logged in.  I'm usually a fairly computer/website savvy person but the knot/bump/whatever has me thrown for a loop.  None of the menus/screens are intuitive!

Does anyone know how to hide your posts. you can click on the number of posts you have posted and it links you to everything you have said on the nest. I don't dig that.

If you click on your current avatar it will bring you to your profile page. Then on that page right underneath your current avatar picture  click "edit  my profile" and you can change your avatar on the edit my profile screen.

Hm, I am not seeing what you describe.  Must be user-error.  This is so frustrating!  I keep clicking in circles and getting the same pages.

Stacy -- when I click on your name and try to see your posts, it says something like "this bumpie is keeping her family planning info private". So whatever you did, I think you did it right.

Steps for both questions:

1. Log in (upper right hand corner)

2. Find a post you recently made/replied to and click your avatar/photo to go to your profile

3. Click "edit my profile"

4. Use the "about me" tab to change your avatar/upload a new photo, change your location, and update your signature

5. Use the "privacy settings" tab to hide your posts (make my boards private), not allow people to search for you, etc.

 

So sorry about the "going around in circles", I have seen it mentioned by other Mods as well and I hope they are working on it.

Thanks Mrs. Shavers.  I have tried clicking my avatar in a post.  It takes me to a page where I can edit all sorts of bio info, (looks like a new layout), but there is nothing that says "edit my profile".  There is an "edit my avatar".  I click that and it doesn't give me options to do anything besides add code into my signature and change my photo.  

Is there a help resource I can connect with?

If you go through thenest.com you can edit your profile the old way.  I find that easier.

THANK YOU nsees!  This worked.  I went over to the nest and you're right, it was all the old stuff and so much easier to navigate.  Done!
