Trying to get LO to fall asleep on his own

Is hell. I absolutely HATE sleep training and am hugely frustrated that my baby is a non-sleeper.

Have patience.  DH stayed in the room with him when he cried most of the time.  Within a week our lives had been transformed.

Yeah, we are re-sleep training so I know it works, but it is awful.

What methods have you tried?  I know you mentioned Ferber before but I don't know if you stuck with it.  I think no matter what you do, you need 110% consistence.  If you want him to fall asleep on his own, do not give him any other option.  If he's starting to fall asleep in your arms, put him down - it might take 100 tries but you just need to be more stubborn than him.

We do Ferber but got messed up with sickness and ear infections. Literally one night off schedule and he goes back to waking four or five times a night. So frustrating.
