What do you consider hazel eyes to be?

So here we are, still trying to decipher what color eyes DS has. I have brown and DH has what I consider hazel, a greenish color with a ring of brown around his pupil.

Sometimes Ethan's eyes look green to me and sometimes they look brown. I have people that have commented that they are green and others that they are brown. Wish I had a close up picture of his eyes to share.

    Both my eyes and my sons eyes do the same thing. It depends on the color he is wearing, he could have gray eyes or brown to an almost yellow-green. That is hazel.
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!

    To me, hazel is some sort of mix of green and brown.  DH has hazel eyes - green with brown flecks all through them.  Hazel eyes are pretty!

    Hey Jess!  I have what I consider hazel eyes and so does my Mom.  Ours are nearly identical.  No questioning that DS did not get that (or anything else for that matter!) from me.  My eyes are a mix of light brown and pale green with specks of gold in them.

    I have hazel eyes....some bue, some green, some light brown. Kind of a hodge podge. But I wasn't sure if this was technically hazel, because my mom has hazel eyes, too, but hers are what I think of as more traditional hazel - a pale gold/yellowy color. But according to wikipedia (and if wiki says it, then it is true!), there is a big range of what is considered hazel. Everything from gold, to green and brown.

    Hopefully this is big enough that you can see Megan's eyes in this photo.  Definitely hazel.  She has dark bluish green around the outside with brown right around the middle.  I really hope this is her set color because they are gorgeous!  Sometimes people will comment on her "brown eyes" and I want to say THEY ARE NOT BROWN!  ;)
