MFI and IUI?

Looking  at DH's last IUI prep, some of the things look low (total motility and total count). I'm wondering if we are dealing with a little bit of MFI also?

If you have done an IUI what is the most follicles that your RE would let you do the IUI with?

What were his numbers?

I haven't gotten to that point with my RE, but I personally don't think I'd feel comfortable with more than 3.

We had very low numbers with our IUI (looked ok pre-wash, but post-wash only 40% motility with 2 million count). When I talked with our RE about the next step, she mentioned trying one more IUI to see if we can up his numbers with increased abstinence (no sex for 2 days prior rather than just one day as before). They are also going to process the sample differently. Increasing number of follicles really wasn't an option we talked about. We had 3 with this last cycle, but any more than that and we would have cancelled the cycle. I just wouldn't feel comfortable with the risk of HOM.

I've had 4 follicles both times I've done an IUI.  I don't know how many would be too many for my RE.

I have only had 2 IUI's and waiting for this cycle to end to start my 3rd IUI.  We haven't talked about how many follies would be too many, but I can say I would have a hard time with 4, but would still go thru with it.  Anything more I would not do.  We have MFI and I need to have as many follies as possible.  The first time I had 1 follie and the 2nd time I had 2.

What are his numbers??

My RE said for my next cycle (moving on to injectibles) he'd cancel if I had more than 4-5 My husband has some MFI issues too though. I'm hoping for 3-4 good follies for my next cycle (5 would terrify me I think).

My RE wants 2 follicles for IUI since we are MFI. I only had one this cycle though and I'm pretty usre it's a BFN
