Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

? for anyone who has had 2 or more natural mc

I just physically miscarried my third pregnancy yesterday. I was just about as far along as my first pregnancy at the time of the loss (although the embryo developed further in this one). I was expecting the pain to be as god awful as the first one and it wasn't. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or if this could mean there is a) still more to come or b) I have retained some of the pregnancy.

I did pass a lot of tissue. The first time I actually physically caught the sac and knew I had passed it. This time, I was at the wonderful military hospital being told to go from dept to dept for my stupid rhogam shot and think I may have actually or possibly passed the sac in a public restroom there (awful experience by the way). I couldn't tell. So now I am scared that I didn't where I wasn't in half as much pain as I was last time when I passed the sac.

thanks for any help you may be able to give

  • First off, I am so sorry for your loss.  No one should have to go through it once, let alone 3 times.

I miscarried in June and am on day 2 of my 2nd miscarriage. They are totally different.  My 1st in June was very painful, lots of large clots, lots of blood and it seemed like it I was going to flood my pants. I was even throwing up from the pain. This time, I had terrible cramps yesterday before lunch, like crying cramps,  good all afternoon and then terrible cramps during the night.  I'm still passing small clots but nothing major and not near as much blood at my 1st.

  • I too am so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me. It does make me feel a little better. My first one I didn't bleed very heavily but passed huge clots with crying hysterically kind of cramps. This time I am bleeding very heavily, have passed a lot of tissue but with more like minor period cramps. So weird how our bodies can respond to the "same" experience so differently. I hope you begin to feel better soon and that the cramps let up for you. Thanks again for sharing with me.
