intro and question

My name is Jessica. I gave birth on dec 30 (36w3d) after my water broke on dec 28. My son, Marshall was (thankfully) healthy and well. No NICU needed. I'm wondering what is different with a newborn preemie than a full term newborn? I notice differences between him and DS1 but I'm not sure if its just different babies or if its because Marshall was early. Do preemies often sleep more than full term? Do they want to be held more? I find that I have a hard time waking Marshall to eat and the only way I get sleep is to have him right next to me. Any advice is appreciated, this is all new to me. TIA

They do tend to be sleepier and not nurse as well as full term babies
