Photog experts HELP PLEASE!!!

my lovely LO pulled on my canon rebel and it fell and now the lens that came with it 18-55mm is i'm pretty sure done, it doesn't auto focus and i can't even turn it manually and it just looks off. not centered properly
 so i need a new lens.
my question is do i get the same one for about $150 from amazon or is there a better alternative that will work. if i can get a better lens and spend a little more i would rather do that. but i also don't have enough right now to shell out $300+
please ladies any help would be greatly appreciated! we leave for vacay on the 22nd and i need this pronto.
i saw this in amazon but i'm clueless with brands and such. for $60 is it ok to get by?

July - Hysterscopy removed some polyps, all clear for IUI with clomid
Aug-Oct - IUI - with Clomid all BFN
Nov-Jan - IUI - with femara and trigger = BFN
back to TTC naturally on our own hoping for another miracle.

    I would go for a 50mm f/1.8  I LOVE this lens!!! WAY better than the kit lens. I wouldn't waste your $$ buying that again.

    I  2nd  3rd and 4th this. It never leaves my camera. and most clients ask for me to use this lens.

    This lens is great!  You are definitely better off buying something with a fixed f-stop when shooting fast little kiddos and shooting indoors.

    Agreed.  95% of my pics are taken with this.
