NIFR: Natural sinus infection cure reccomendations, please!

I have a sinus infection.  It started to go away with antibiotics.  I discovered about half way through the course of the antibiotics that I am allergic to it.  I'm allergic to all the big infection drugs (sulfa, penicillin, zithromax, doxycycline).  I just started to the sinus rinses tonight.  I'm going to give it a few days. If that doesn't work I will be headed back to the Dr.  

Im really hoping to not have to try another antibiotic.  There's not much out there I can take.  I'm running out of options.  I will take any suggestions I can get.

Snort salt water and blow it back out. It sucks nuts, but it works.

Wow that really sucks. I know the netti pot really helps me. I hope you feel better soon, but if not I would go back to the Dr. There has to be something to give you.

for my sinus infections, i always go to an ENT rather than my general practitioner. i've been misdiagnosed by my GP on a sinus infection before, and also given too moderate medications. my ENT is super aggressive and gives me powerful antibiotics (i know that doesn't help you).

she also prescribed flonase 2x/day, sinus rinse 1-2 times/day (i do both flonase and rinses every day of the year, not just when i have an infection), and one time, for a particularly bad infection, she gave me steroids.

Are they sure you're allergic to all those antibiotics?  The reason I ask is they are all deritives of different drugs, none of the ones you listed are made from the same active ingredients.  So just because you are allergic to say amoxicillin doesn't mean you're allergic to sulfa or doxycycline (derivitive of tetracycline), it would just mean you are allergic to all the antibiotics that end in --cillin (or all penicillin derivitives).  I only ask because it's very unusual to be allergic to them all given that they are all different drugs.

I always use a netti pot and maybe taking immune booster things you can drink in water?  There has to be something you can take!?

I used to get sinus infections all of the time and ever since going to a chiropractor I rarely ever get sick. I hope you feel better soon.
