DD isn't quite "breaking out" of the swaddle, but she struggles all night trying to. I just ordered the sleepsuit, yet not really sure when to start using it??? If you are in a cold weather state, do you still put pajamas on underneath the suit? I cannot wait to get it and am hoping for some better sleep because it seems to be getting worse lately!
Re: if you use the Magic Sleep Suit
As long as A is big enough to fit in it, you're fine to start using it right away, I would think. It didn't work well for us at first and I'm pretty sure it's because B was too small--she even wiggled out of the neck hole once. Now that's she actually grown some I know it works--she takes 20 minute naps without it and 2 hour naps when she wears it. And STTN.
It's puffy but it's really not heavy. We live in a warmer weather state and B still wears footy PJ's and socks underneath it, with a muslin (arms out) swaddle over it. But she gets cold easily. When it was warmer she would wear a onesie or light cotton non-footy PJs under the suit.
I hope it works for you!
I live in Minnesota, and my guys wear regular cotton footy pajamas under their suits. That's at night. During the day, I just put the suits on over their clothes. (If they're wearing jeans or other clothes that would be uncomfortable, I take those off before putting on the suits..)
I think the site says 3 months plus, but they might also list a weight or height minimum.
This is off topic, but I saw this yesterday and thought of you. Not sure if it really helps with colic, but I'm sure anything is worth a try!!

You're so sweet to think of us! I almost ordered that a while back. But then we started using a rice pack heating pad. Hearing of this, my very good friend had her Gramma make us a lavendar and rice filled pack. It really works well. We use it whenever she's real inconsolable.
I love the piggy hat on Charlotte!
I have never heard of the magic sleep suit. I will have to look into it for when DS grows out of the miracle blanket, which is just about now b/c he's at least 25.5".
DH will not be happy that I found another sleeping product to buy to "help" DS sleep better. He thinks we've spent enough money on swaddlers, a pod, Aden and Anais blankets, and the miracle blanket.

Started seeing RE Nov 2012. Chromosomal test and all other tests came back "normal". Unexplained MCs. Found mild hytpothyroidism. Two unmedicated cycles, both BFNs. First medicated cycle (clomid, ovidrel) 1/23/13. Low progesterone found during 9DPO P4 test = 7.6. Put on prometrium supplements.
BFP 2/16/13; 2/18/13 (13 dpo): Beta #1=52.8, progesterone=18.7; estrogen = 412; Dr. increased progesterone dosage.
2/21/13 (16 dpo): Beta #2 = 269; progesterone = 32.4
2/25/13 (20 dpo): Beta #3 = 1,236
2/28/13 (23 dpo): Beta #4 = ?? tbd
No problem! Glad it works!
And thanks! She is my little piggy!
I showed DH the video and he told me to order it now..."before this goes on any longer". I think A is just at the point of being uncomfortable in the miracle blanket. Good luck!
I should add, we were in BRU last week and I saw the nap nanny. I really wanted to get that too! He stopped me. LOL
Why? Is she getting too big? Em is 24" and 14lbs and it seems to still fit just fine but is obviously getting tighter. I'm not sure what to do, and I have never heard of the magic sleep suit either - I might have to check it out.
We started using the Magic Sleep Suit Size 6-9 months around 4 months. DS was flipping over and waking himself up.
I like it for the most part. DS wears footed pjs underneath it and it works out fine. The suit takes the place of the sleep sack that he used to wear. It's usually around 68 degrees in his room at night.

I want the Nap Nanny, too! But it's ridiculously expensive, and it says not to use it for night time use.
I'm dreading the next couple of weeks.....dd has refliux and naps on her tummy during the day, and sleeps (pretty well) at night in her rock and play in our room. I'm ready to transition her to her room, but there is NO WAY she's gonna sleep flat on her back.
