When I got the BFP, I threw my MBT shoes (athletic shoes with the rounded bottom to simulate walking in sand) in the back of the closet because I thought they would throw off my balance. My hips have been hurting me pretty badly--especially standing still like cooking or washing dishes. I had to wash my other athletic shoes the other day and pulled out my MBTs and the hip pain went away. Since then I figured out that if I'm barefoot, or have on flip-flops or flats, the pain comes back. As long as I wear something with a small heel or my MBTs, the pain stays away.
I wouldn't bust out the money for a pair of MBTs, but if you have a pair of similar shoes, if might be worth trying.
HTH!
